2015 - Many changes in fashion right now!!!

Changes are inevitable in any field, specially in fashion.

Frida Gianini's departure from Gucci kept on causing lots of speculation everywhere, No one knew what was going to happen, specially having in mind Gianini's so particular aesthetics, that made somehow Gucci's trademark for over 13 years. I was seriously thinking about Gucci being directed by one of these asian masters the industry has (seriously thinking about Thakoon and Altuzarra for instance), but there was not surprise to see current Gucci's accesories designer, Alessandro Michele being appointed to the role.

Francois Henri Pinault (Kering) is a businessman, and although Frida Giannini's designs gave a trademark to the brand (luxurious femininity), accesories stood out, and were best sellers. Let's also remember that former Gucci's CEO, Patrizio Di Marco (Frida Giannini's husband) resigned already, so it didn't make sense for Ms. Giannini to be there anymore I guess.

AW2015 - 2016 menswear show was waaaaay different to what Gucci has shown before, you can see a different approach ans sensibility, and definitely fresher. Just can't wait what he's bringing for next season.

Anthony Vaccarello & Donatella Versace

Now... what happened to the Belgian designer Anthony Vaccarello was totally predictable,

I mean... it's the best collaboration Versus has had with an outer designer, and of course Ms. Donatella Versace fell in love... I don't judge her. Not a fan, but I must admit that I loved what Mr. Vaccarello did during SS 2015 Versus show. The best for both!

Another expected change was Guy Laroche's. This legendary house now has an American creative director, Adam Andrascik, replacing Marcel Marongiu.

He's a Central St. Martin graduate, and I'm sure some great things will come up with this change.

Fashion is all about cycles, and changes will continue happening.

Unconventional beauty

I just read this article from the Huffington Post, praising women who are "unconventinally beautiful", and it was such a nice surprise to see a group of my favorite women in the world: Kristen McMenamy, Stella Tennant, Stacey McKenzie, Grace Jones, Jamie Bochert, Beth Ditto,  just to name a few...

I just would have loved seeing Alek Wek, Kate Moss and Rossy de Palma as part of this group, but I think it was a greay job overall.

Beauty comes in many shapes, sizes, colors, and it's so subjective, something that is pretty for you isn't pretty for me, and so on.

I applaud Huffington Post for this article, and others that stand out unconventional yet relevant topics all the time. Here's the article, and enjoy it as much as I did :)

John Galliano proved who he is, an alchemist more than a designer, a walking brain, with his debut Artisanal collection for Maison Martin Margiela, Spring 2015 presented today in London.

I didn't have a single clue on how he was going to make things work fusioning his vision with Maison Martin Margiela's DNA. He just made it work. I don't know how, but made it work.

Let's see the facts:

My favorite Pre - Fall 2015 looks so far...

Let this get straight. I tried to summarize this list to 10, but it was impossible. There were too many looks that deserved a high honor spot on this post.

I won't even order them from "the best to the worst". I'm putting them ramdomly, so that you guys can appreciate how talent and creativity has stood out during this Pre - Fall 2015 season.

There are two collections I won't mention now, I'd rather talk about them in future posts individually. One because it's my favorite (I just can't get over it, there isn't a single look I dislike from that collection, none), and the other one because it caused me mixed feelings (love & hate sort of emotions, like Gaga sometimes).

So here they are, my favorite Pre - Fall 2015 looks:
