Oh PARIS... AW 2015-2016 Day 2

Ok. This is what happens with Paris Fashion Week. Everything is too good and worthy of comment, and everything happens so fast ... it's frustrating for someone who loves fashion like me the fact of not giving the relevance to collections that really deserve it, but I'm trying to be as fair as possible mentioning the best of the day.

Day 2 brought lots of romance, opulence, very clean and classic silhouettes, a little Nordic and Belgian conceptualism. A very interesting day, with a little for everyone.

Alessandro Dell'Acqua presented a beautiful collection for Rochas, many neutral earth tones, a little touch of color and beautiful confections, very traditional Rochas cuts inspired in the 1930's maybe, with a subtle sensuality reflected on transparencies. Birds prints were delightful. If we compare its previous collection (which incidentally was one of my favorite from the las SS season), it has a greater number of pieces that are adaptable to any audience, much more global I must say. Very beautiful. It's its 90th. Anniversary after all, so they're bringing the best.

Nana Aganovich and Brooke Taylor presented a conceptual and beautiful collection for Aganovich. Loved the layering in pieces, the desconstructive that each outfit had. Small flashes of color and masculine approach of the collection were highlights. Severe fabrics softened with different tailoring techniques they used was quite charming. Such a nice collection.

Other who brought romanticism to today's shows were Vionnet, who presented such a sophisticated and romantic collection; Lemaire with its perfect cashmere pieces, very clean and simple, and Cédric Charlier who brought practical cuts with an interesting twist in the use of color. There's no need for me to say that the three collections looked luxurious and very sophisticated in their own way. It was such a delight.

Now DRIES VAN NOTEN... I do not know if I will have in my vocabulary enough words to describe the beauty of what this Belgian master brought to the table with his collection today: DREAMY!!! An unconventional layering, a blend of exquisite textures, beautiful accessories (those neck bouquets were amazing, not corny at all), opulent, brocade in some of the fabrics was majestic, tapestry, beading, feathers... there's nothing else I can say. I better let the pictures speak for themselves. His last collection was a pleasant surprise to me, and apparently he will keep on impressing me. I'm fascinated by what he presented today. That's all!

Now, about the H&M Studio show... Let me start with this. It was a beautiful show, well designed and every piece looked expensive enough to be part of Fashion Week. It was great!

Now, what really caught my attention is that I never thought seeing a smile coming from Antonina Petkovic, Edie Campbell and Saskia de Brauw... I was so used to their serious faces that I felt weird LOL!!! They're gorgeous either way!
