Alexander Wang already did it pretty successfully, and now we see Ms. Donna Karan, showing her eponymous collection with very feminine silhouettes, lots of black with some sparkles of gold, very few, and lots of texture. She played with fabrics, embroideries, appliques; it was a wide variety of textures worked on a black canvas that made such an interesting show.

Maria Cornejo opted this time for her already known volumes, well executed sparkles of red, extraordinary draping work with a very sweet Asian feel, and a rather ambivalent and very attractive approach for street and fashion editorials where surely these pieces will shine.
Ms. Cornejo never disappoints.

Thom Browne showed a beautiful "black mournful extravaganza". As in Donna Karan there were a lot of textures. I particularly loved the distressed treatment he gave to some of the fabrics (cashmere and tweed on coats and jackets mainly) and those wonderful freaking hats that were designed by the marvelous British milliner Stephen Jones. Accesories were a bomb, those handbags...
The irony of putting "angel visions" at the back was a superb detail.
What an amazing show.
