Just the start of the show was a hit... Erin O'Connor back on the runway, in a sort of "executive" outfit. A pretty decent beginning, very promising... then, after three models... BOOM!!! Kinga Rajzak in a nude GOOOOORGEOUS piece that left me speechless... His source of inspiration this time was Diana Vreeland, legendary former Vogue editor in chief, a very complex source of inspiration. Lots of character going on.

As the show developed new elements showed up: a strange mix of prints (plaid with animal print and glitter, textures like chiffon and fur with leather for example). Sounds like a recipe for disaster, BUT NO, it actually worked perfectly.
The careful design of each piece is visible from afar, embroidery and other elements are truly cohesive. It was a bit of everything, a strange blend that actually worked, and left me fascinated.

Marc Jacobs is making very wise decisions. First appointing Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier to command Marc by Marc Jacobs, in order to concentrate on his eponymous collection, and achieving this strange and sophisticated result he got.
