NYFW AW 2015 - 2016 is here!!! Day 3

Day 3 has brought veeeery interesting stuff.

Today's highlight was brought undoubtedly by Jason Wu, whose collection was a celebration to luxury and femininity, a very mature yet sexy show. It was based mainly in four colors, and he chose to work with very cozy fabrics and textures for this season: satin, wool, fur, leather of course, which has been widely used in Jason Wu's past collections, and even crocodile.

His sober elegance and the quality in his tailoring and fabrics makes his work stand out, and his models' cast is always impressive (I have to say I missed Saskia de Brauw in the cast though).

Here I show my highlights:

Wes Gordon's minimalistic approach is something I always appreciate. He brings simple designed pieces with unconventional cuts, neutral colors and flattering pieces for most types of bodies. Knit work definitely stood out on his runway this time.

Other shows that brought amazing things today were:

Cushnie et Ochs: I must confess I am highly impressed with their job this season. It was not just about showing sexy clothing, but you can also see a high level of craftmanship and design in this pieces. It gives me a Balenciaga feel, very little, still present though.

Tome: Following them since last season. Love the layering they do, as well as the mix of natural prints and vynils and synthetic fabrics. Its shape is very friendly, with very high levels of design. Very intellectual collection. Well accesorized as well. Ramón Martín and Ryan Lobo are doing an amazing job with this brand.

Kate Spade New York: We all know Kate Spade is well know for their accesories mostly, but I'm quite impressed with this clothing collection actually. Pretty cohesive and colorful, which hasn't been common on any AW seasons. Well done!

Rebecca Minkoff: Jamie Bochert opened and closed the show. Enough reason to love it! Can't be objective on this one :(
